deliciously warm, delightfully cool

This is the time of year that, like the squirrels, I gather.. and gather.. and gather some more.

What I’m gathering is warm stone beaches and cool breezes, and bare feet,  and the earthy, pungent scents of Autumn and sunny colour everywhere.  I soak it up wherever and whenever I can.. like a little squirrely sponge!  All to keep me warm and juicy through the long, dry winter months ahead.

Even just reading you talk about soaking up the summer warmth is working for me! Feeds the soul….

    I love the idea!

and don’t forget, Ben, to fill your winter pockets with autumn acorns for all those absent-minded squirrels-of-a-certain-age!

Last night, at dinner, a friend’s 12-year-old son pulled a perfect acorn out of his pocket and began to tell stories about the tree from which it came. The same warm feeling cloaked the meal thereafter.
